Hosting an SAA pool swim is as easy as dedicating a practice or part of your practice. This one-page template spells out the program.
We invite age group, Masters, summer, youth league, triathletes, learn-to-swim, water aerobics and any other water-based program to support the SAA cause by hosting a benefit swim at your home pool. Please contact us if you want to host an SAA pool swim. Below are common questions and support you can expect from us when hosting an SAA pool charity swim. You can find our pool swim schedule here.
The SAA pool benefit program was developed as an opportunity for those who want to support SAA but don’t have an SAA open water swim in their community or aren’t able to attend an SAA open water swim. This one-page template spells out the program and what SAA offers.
We will create and host a donation page on swimacrossamerica.org for your pool swim and your swimmers. Send us a few paragraphs explaining why you are hosting the swim and some pictures, and we will set it up for you.
We regularly promote our pool swims to more than 100,000 supporters via our e-newsletters and social media.
Registered participants to your pool swim get their own personal story/fundraising page and can send pre-written e-mails to their friends and supporters encouraging donations. We also offer the Good Move fundraising app that participants may share messages via text and email, and track their fundraising progress.
If requested, we will provide the facility hosting your SAA pool benefit swim a $1,000,000 certificate of insurance naming the facility as an additional insured. The COI will be good for day of the pool swim and your swimmers will be required to sign an SAA waiver.
We provide SAA branded swim caps and an SAA banner you may keep.
Funds raised at pool swims are granted towards pediatric cancer research.
