It's really exciting to be participating in Swim Across America Atlanta for the first time this year! It's my first swim in another state, which will be a blast to see after nearly two decades swimming in the Long Island Sound every summer, but with the same mission of coming together as a community to raise funds for cancer research. I am so excited to do this with my longtime friend (14 years!!!) Jessica Felts - we've tackled 4 years at UVA, a semester abroad, a few hikes, a half marathon, and now a mile together in Lake Lanier. We swim in honor of all those that we've lost too soon, and for me many beloved grandparents, and in hopes that future generations see a world where no-one has to lose a parent, grandparent, or loved one too soon to cancer. 

 Swim Across America hosts charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that leads to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care, and we look forward to contributing more with our efforts in the Atlanta swim!
