Welcome to My Personal Page
I am this year's Swim Across America Atlanta Event Co-Director. I have been volunteering for Swim Across America Atlanta since 2017. I love Swim Across America Atlanta because it brings our Georgia swimming community together every year for an amazing cause, to make waves to fight cancer. So many people we know have been affected by cancer. This event funds critical pediatric cancer research conduced at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, a hospital near and dear to our hearts.
One of the things I love most about SAA Atlanta is that we fund specific research projects each year. We get to meet the doctors and the receive information and updates on the research being conducted with our funds. This year is especially meaningful because one of the research projects we are funding is for neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma has taken the life of 2 precious little boys in my Dacula community. It is also a cancer my own daughter, Charlotte, was scanned for from age 2 unil 9 every 3 months due to a genetic condition that predisposed her to this type of cancer.
I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Thank you for helping me #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
