Dear Friends,

Guess what? I will be swimming 3 miles for SWIM ACROSS AMERICA this Saturday at Lake Lanier. This is a fundraiser to raise funds for cancer patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). It will be my third year to participate and my third open water swim. For the past 2 years, I swam 1 mile each time, but this year, I wanted to challenge myself to swim 3 miles for this cause.

From being a part of this event for the past few years, I have learned a lot about the group and what they are doing for children's cancer research. It was very inspiring to hear from the different speakers who were doctors and cancer survivors. Last year, we also heard from a girl who was a teen swimmer in the Atlanta area who was undergoing cancer treatments. The funds raised truly helped her. I am excited to participate and am glad I can contribute by swimming for such a special cause. Would you please consider supporting this cause by donating and by praying for me as I swim 3 miles this Saturday.

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together. we can change that.

Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
