Eva McLaren
Hey! I’m Eva McLaren, a senior at Marist School. I have been swimming my whole life competitively and for fun. Swimming is one of my favorite things and I couldn’t imagine my life without it. I currently compete on the Marist Varsity Swim Team as well as swim and coach at my summer league pool Brittany. I love the opportunity to be able to share my love of swimming with others!
Swim Across America is such an amazing organization that I am lucky to be a part of. I started to get involved with Swim Across America 3 years ago when the Marist Swim Team had a pool swim. Last year, after learning more about Swim Across America and its goals, I became a junior board ambassador and participated in the open water swim! It was so amazing and I am so excited for this year’s swim! This year, I am on the Junior Advisory Board and am so excited to also be a Marist Team Captain for our Swim Across America Team where I will help to plan and organize team fundraisers! This year at the open water swim I will be swimming the 1 mile swim and I am so excited!
I swim for everyone struggling with cancer and to help support finding a cure for all those affected! I believe that everyone deserves access to the support and resources they need and Swim Across America does an amazing job raising awareness and fundraising in order to change lives. I am blessed to be a part of this amazing organization and to fight to make waves against cancer! I have loved everyone I have met through Swim Across America and look forward to meeting so many more this upcoming season!
Each year the Swim Across America Atlanta Swim raises money that goes to the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Their focus is Leukemia and Lymphoma research and clinical trials as well as medulloblastoma and osteosarcoma research. The funding benefits young investigators and their efforts to research related therapies, drugs, and side effects.
I invite you to join my efforts in raising money for this life-saving research. You can support me by making a donation to my page at the link below, joining my team, or becoming a swimmer participant or volunteer at the event on September 21, 2024!
Thank you so much for supporting my efforts! #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
Thank you,
Eva Mclaren
