As you all know, I love to swim and to compete with my club, Dynamo. This year I decided to use my interest in the sport to make a difference. This year, I am joining Swim Across America to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since it's founding in 1987, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

This Saturday, I will be swimming one mile in Lake Lanier with my swim coach, Tom Cuticchia, and my close friends and teammates at this charity swim. I am grateful that with the help of my doctors, family, friends, swim coach and teammates that I am supported and strong to swim this event and give back to healthcare.
