Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

This year, I am swimming the half mile to raise money for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in honor of my mom.  My mom is a childhood cancer survivor and was treated at Henrietta Egelston Children's Hospital before it joined with Scottish Rite Children's Hospital to become CHOA.
