Thee Mile Open Water Swim
On Saturday September 21st I'll be participating in Swim Across America (SAA) as part of my Dynamo Swim team. Founded in 1987, SAA has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, SAA has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. The Atlanta event is raising money for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This will be my first time open-water swimming and my friends and I will be swimming the 3-mile race. That is probably around 1.5 hours of swimming, but I honestly don't know because I've never tried it before. Go big or go home! If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Personally, I would like to qualify for the Zone Open Water Team, and this is my first step!
Thanks, Kyle
