The Garden Hills Cool Sharks are a summer league swim & dive program (including youth and adult teams) at a City of Atlanta pool. We organized our first Swim-a-thon for Swim Across America in 2019, bringing swimmers of all ages, their families, and our community together to swim laps and raise money (almost $12,000 since 2019!). In addition, each year we have coaches and swimmers who participate in the Atlanta Open Water Swim, either as part of Team Garden Hills or on their school teams, furthering our team's fundraising for and participation in this event. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
