I am excited to be participating in Swim Across America Baltimore for the 12th year!

This year, we are again hoping to head back to the Magothy Bay for a 3 mile open water swim, after a hurricane and Covid interrupted the last three years and sent us pool-side. Alyssa headed off to college, so Sarah, JD and I will hold down the SAA fort here. If you'd like to support them instead, feel free to click off this page and over to theirs!

As always, I am swimming to support the research done at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and for the support programs for families with cancer. I am swimming in memory of my son Michael (pictured), my brother Michael, my Aunt Alison, Mrs. Polk, and many others. I am also swimming in memory of Dr. Robert Arceci, Michael's brilliant and caring pediatric oncologist who didn't get to save as many lives as he should have.

The SAA lab at Hopkins has done wonderful work with the funds raised in the past 10 years of this swim. They are funded by your donations, and they have made key discoveries with those funds.
