My mom, Cristy, was diagnosed with cancer in April 2014 and passed away two years later. We swim to celebrate her life and the lives of others who have been impacted by cancer. Every year it is so moving to see the support from our community, raising funds, swimming and volunteering for this event. So many people coming together, working so that no one needs to go through what we have been through ever again. I appreciate your support so much. Fundraising each year is an opportunity to let the memories of our mom shine bright and show our endless gratitude for the team at Johns Hopkins who fought so hard with her.
