Welcome to My Personal Page
Hello,
My name is Sarah Corb. I am 14 years old. This year I am participating in Swim Across America for the 7th year in a row. I will be swimming 2 miles in the SAA Open-Water Baltimore Swim. The open water swim will take place in the Magothy Bay. In previous years I have swam 1-2 miles. All of the money donated in the SAA Baltimore swim will go to Johns Hopkins Hospital for cancer research. Johns Hopkins will use the funds to buy medical supplies to help them learn more about cancer. The tools purchased can help find and cure and end cancer.I swim for my brother Michael, and my Uncle Michael. When he was 3 months old, he was diagnosed with mixed lineage leukemia. At 9 months old, he unfortunately passed away. He fought so hard for his life at such a young age and he pushes me to work hard too. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital, so it is important to me to help in s many ways as possible. My Uncle Michael also passed at a young age, and luckily my mom was able to spend many years getting to know her brother. I believe that no family should have to go through what mine did. While I never got to meet either of them, I know they would've accomplish great things like my sister has already. My sister Alyssa has worked so hard to raise as much money as she can. After moving to college at Tennessee, she wanted to continue working with SAA, so she organized a pool swim in Nashville. My hope is that my brother and I can follow in her foot steps. Every year my family registers for Swim Across America on his birthday in honor of him. Please consider donating so we can put an end to this horrible sickness. You can swim, donate, or volunteer. If you choose not to swim, donations are still appreciated. Anything helps.Thank You,Sarah Corb
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the Baltimore Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world! You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America - Baltimore, PO BOX 5384, Baltimore, MD 21209.
Check should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting!
