Welcome to My Personal Page
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
On September 15th I will swim 1 mile in the Chesapeake Bay to raise funds for this organization which is dear to my heart.
For the second year, I am swimming in memory of my friend, Faith Tyranski, who passed away on June 1st, 2023, after a courageous seven-month battle with small-cell ovarian cancer. Faith was someone who showed me there was always more to life. Her bravery and dedication in everything she did were infectious and continue to inspire me every day.
I also want to honor the memory of Lisa Conrad, a beloved family friend who sadly passed away in August after battling pancreatic cancer.
Additionally, I will be swimming in honor of the people I know and love who have beaten this awful disease or are currently fighting: Brooke Shinnick, Peter Mackay, and Dave Mackay.
I would greatly appreciate donations of any size to support me in meeting my $1000 fundraising goal. All donations will go directly to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center to support their groundbreaking research. Thank you all so much for reading, and let’s #makewavestofightcancer !!
