I've been a proud participant in the SAA Boston event since 2006. Each year I recruit swimmers, volunteers, friends and family to help raise funds to support cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Cancer Center. This year we'll be back at Pleasure Bay's Castle Island on August 10, 2024.

The SAA Boston event is one of my favorite activities each year.

Here's why I participate:

- The people are inspiring! From the patients undergoing cancer treatments, to the incredible doctors and nurses who work tirelessly for a cure, to my fellow athletes (both young and old) who find friendship and fulfillment through the sport of swimming, I always look forward to these annual gatherings.

- Even though we're small fish in a big pond, WE ALL CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER. If we each do our part, no matter how small, the world will be a better place.
