In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change this.

Unfortunately, cancer has had an overwhelming impact on my family. My Uncle Bernie O'Neil was diagnosed with brain cancer 10+ years ago. My Mom, Mariann, continues to receive treatment for Nodular Melanoma; my mother-in-law, Barbara, is in remission from Myeloma; my brother-in-law, Jason, recently had Lymphoma; my sister-in-law, Jen, recently had breast cancer; and my nephew, Nathan DeRoche, was diagnosed with Lymphoma as a child.

Jen, Jason, and Nathan are fully recovered. My Moms continue their recovery while receiving loving care from family and friends. My Uncle Bernie passed away after a long, courageous battle.

I am honored to swim in continued support of my Moms and the memory of my Uncle Bernie.
