Maya Angelo once spoke about how she brings everyone who has ever been kind to her with her where ever she goes. 

I especially like this sentiment when I think of all the generous and kind people who have been with me over the years as I fund raise annually for cancer research. I've carried each of you with me through hundreds of miles on my bike, and now through miles and miles of water just to make a dent in cancer research. Together we've raised over $25,000.00.
