In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I will be swimming in honor of my mother in law Maureen O'Connor, who passed away in 2022 from metastatic melanoma.  While there has been amazing progress in the treatment of melanoma, in particular immunotherapy, ongoing research is needed.
