Legacy
About SAA: Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

Cancer is an unrelenting and tragic illness which millions of individuals of all ages suffer from daily. In my own life, I have had numerous relatives suffer in their battles against this disease. Due to that, it is my honor to be able to demonstrate my support for further research by representing the hopeful journey others have embarked on in search for a true cure.
I participated in SAA last year, and am glad to say it was a rewarding experience. I hope to replicate my success by once again swimming a mile with my friends and as part of the Ursuline swim team. I swim in honor of my relatives who have lost their battles to cancer, as well as my Tia who is in a current battle.
Still, my participation in SAA is not limited to my family members, but for all who suffer/suffered from this sickness. Two years ago, an influencer named Alexander "Technoblade" passed away at the age of twenty- three due to cancer. His legacy lives on through his father and many followers (including me). He continues to build what can only be described as a family, and I hope to assist in continuing his legacy through SAA. With that, it is my pleasure to join hundreds of others working to unite a small fraction of the world, and I hope you will consider spreading awareness and/or donating (only if you are able or inclined). Thank you!
