Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I am swimming in honor of the many people in my life who have been impacted by cancer - most notably my mom and my daughter, Claire.  I know first hand the importance of this research to helping save the lives of those battling cancer.  My daughter was diagnosed with retinoblastoma at 4 months old, and breakthrough treatments such as intra arterial and Intravitreal chemotherapies saved her life and enabled her to keep her eye. She is now in remission.
