Join survivors, family, clinicians, and friends in raising money with Swim Across America to support pediatric cancer survivorship programs and research at the Dana-Farber Perini Clinic. The Boston chapter of Swim Across America has been raising money for Perini Clinic programs since 1997, and this year we are excited to have our own team, the Perini Clinic Paddlers!

Who are the Perini Clinic Paddlers? We are a team of Perini Clinic patients, families, staff, and friends who want to support Swim Across American and the Perini Clinic. We invite you to join our team as a swimmer, volunteer, or virtual swimmer. You do not need to swim to fundraise or enjoy the event! 

How can I donate? Click on the dark blue "Donate Now" button on the right side of the screen. 

When is the Open Water Swim? August 12, 2023. Registration opens at 8:00 AM and the swim starts at 9:30 AM. 

Where? Castle Island at Please Bay, South Boston, MA 02127.

How Can I Join the Perini Clinic Paddlers? Click on the light blue "Join Team" button on the right side of the screen.

Join as an In-Person Swimmer: As a swimmer, you will raise money for cancer research by swimming on August 12th, 2023, at Castle Island in Boston, MA. When you register, you can choose to sign up to swim a 1/2 mile, 1 mile, or 2 miles. Children under 8 years old can sign up for the Kids Splash, a short, supervised swim near the shore. Please note that adult swimmers are asked to pay a $75 registration fee. If this fee presents a hardship, please contact us at Dfciperiniprograms@dfci.harvard.edu.

Join as a Volunteer: As a volunteer, you will join us in supporting the Perini Clinic Paddlers at the Swim Across America event on August 6th, 2022, at Castle Island in Boston, MA. You can help with fundraising, setting up tables, handing out swag, or just cheering the swimmers on. If you aren’t able to come for the event on August 12th, 2023, you can still sign up as a volunteer to help with fundraising, tell other people about the event, and give the swimmers your virtual support. It is totally free to sign up as a volunteer.

Join as a Virtual Swimmer (SAA My Way): As a virtual swimmer, you can sign up to fundraise without needing to swim at the event on August 12th, 2023. Instead, you can raise money for Swim Across America and the Perini Clinic online.
