Hello friends and family,

Thank you for visiting my personal page. I first started participating in Swim Across America in 2011 when Joanie was receiving treatment from Seattle Cancer Care. Now, 13 years later and many SAA swims later, I am swimming in Charlotte, NC near my home in Asheville. 

All SAA donations go to local cancer treatment and research centers. The swim in Charlotte will benefit the Levine Caner Institute and Levine Children's Hospital. 

I continue to swim in memory of my wife, Joanie and also Scott Rathbone, my son-in-law's father; Harry, the father of a dear friend in Seattle; Patricia the late partner of my swim buddy, Carol H. and so many others who live in our hearts and memories and those still receiving cancer treatment and care. 

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
