Hello, my name is Madi Hertzig. I am a sophomore at Charlotte Catholic High School and a member of the National Prep swim team at MSA. For the past seven years, I have participated in the Swim Across America Open Water event to raise money for cancer research and clinical trials. All money raised from this event goes directly to the Levine Cancer Institute to support their efforts to identify new treatments, therapies, and hopefully one day a cure for cancer. This year, I was selected as a member of the Junior Advisory Board for the event. In this role, I am hoping to contribute to the overall success of the event through increased participation and fundraising.
