In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, my teammates and I can change that. As part of this fundraiser, I will be swimming a mile to raise money for cancer research on October 6th!

Swimming has been a large part of my life since I was little. I've not only met some of my best friends through swimming, but I have also seen the impact that swimming can have on the lives of others. This event is especially special to me because I have seen two of the most important people in my life battle this disease. I am so excited to partake in such a great event for the third year and swim for those in my life and everyone else who has battled this disease!

The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers.
