Why am I doing this?

Swimming has been my lifeline since I was a little girl. It's helped me get through some of the toughest times of my life and now, I am hoping that I can use swimming to help others get through their toughest times as well!

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.

The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers.
