Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

Last year was my first year on the JAB for Swim Across America and thanks to everyones help I raised over $3000 for cancer research! This year I hope to exceed that goal and raise even more money than last year. Unfortunately everyone has been impacted by cancer in some shape or form. For me it was 8 years ago when my uncle Richard died of brain cancer. This experience helped me realize that something needs to be done to help fund cancer research. I decided I wanted to find a way to incorporate my love of swimming and caring nature for people and found Swim Across America was perfect for me. Now as a member of the JAB for Swim Across America, I strive to make a difference and raise as much money possible to battle cancer and prevent families from having to go through a similar experience.
