In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. With these staggering numbers, it is no surprise that many of us have been touched in some way by its impact.  The Swim Across America community comes together for an annual fundraiser so that, together, we can make a change.  

On Sunday, October 8th, I will be joining Swim Across America completing a two-mile open water swim in Lake Wylie beginning at Camp Thunderbird.  Swimmers and volunteers of all ages and skill levels are invited to take part in the event.  So consider joining us in the swim or cheering us on from the shoreline.  

If you are able, please lend your support by making a gift. The researchers we are funding will support cancer research at Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.  These researchers are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early-stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
