Ella Biber's fundraising page
Hi! I have joined the Junior Advisory Board for a nationwide nonprofit, Swim Across America. Joining this team allows me to use my passion for swimming towards an amazing cause that impacts everyone.
Swim Across America is a charity that organizes open water swims all over the country. Through these swimming events, money is raised to fund cancer research, clinical trials and patient programs. All the money raised in Charlotte will stay here and go to the Levine Cancer Institute! And guess what? SAA has raised over $100 million so far!!
Unfortunately, I have seen firsthand how devastating cancer can be. I am swimming in honor of my grandfather Putt Putt, who fought and beat bladder cancer four years ago. However, the cancer has returned, and he is fighting every day to overcome it. (LOVE YOU PUTT PUTT!!)
Our event in Charlotte will take place on October 6th. I encourage those interested to swim in the open water event. There are three distance options: 1/2-mile, 1 mile, and 2 mile. I am swimming the 2 mile (send prayers!) Keep in mind it will be just for fun and no pressure whatsoever! We are also in need of volunteers if you are able. The swim is such a fun event, and it takes place at Camp Thunderbird on Lake Wylie!
I hope you and your family will consider donating Please feel free to call or text me if you want more information, I would love to share more of my enthusiasm! All amounts are greatly appreciated and will make a difference in someone's life.
Follow @jabcharlottesaa and @saaswim for updates. Thank you so much for your support and let's work together to make a difference and find a cure!
