Announcing Our 2nd Annual Swim Across America Wine Tasting Benefit!!!

We did it last year!  We are doing it again!  Total Wine & More® once more has joined forces with Swim Across America Charlotte for another wine tasting event.  A fun tradition is continued as we generate funds to support research for the battle against cancer.  All proceeds from this event will stay local to the Charlotte area and directly benefit the Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital. 

Total Wine & More® has again generously donated a wine tasting class to support the SAA cause.  This event will take place Monday, September 30.  It will start at 6 p.m. in the wine tasting room of Total Wine & More®’s Promenade on Providence location at 5341 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Suite 100.  It will last approximately 2 hours and will include the following:

1.     A themed tasting class, “From Tip to Toe: A Wine Tour of Italy” that will include a flight of 8 different and interesting wines, some of which may be new to the casual wine drinker.

2.     A Total Wine & More®expert, who will facilitate the tasting and lead us through the story of each wine on offer. The environment will be casual and relaxed, with opportunities for questions and comments, making for a lively atmosphere.

3.     A prepared charcuterie snack box for wine pairing with a vegetarian option available.

4.     The opportunity to purchase some new wine favorites at discount that evening (but please note that the store does close at 9 p.m).

For the both the casual wine drinker and the oenophile, this is a great opportunity to support a fantastic cause while enjoying a diversity of wine offerings.   A minimum donation of $50 is required to reserve a seat (more is always welcome).  Total Wine & More®’s tasting room is limited to a max capacity of 36 available seats.  The MSA family will be given the opportunity to fill up the venue on a first come, first serve basis.  After two weeks, remaining seats will be opened to any and all.

Seating is limited and spots will be confirmed once payment is received.  All payments are fully tax deductible.

One concluding safety note.  A typical tasting pour will be ~1-2 ounces, or approximately 2-3 glasses of wine per person for the event with spit buckets available.  While this will be served over the duration with food, wine is an alcoholic beverage and we ask that all participants exercise prudence with its consumption.
