Welcome to My Personal Page
Many years ago, I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can fight a cancer diagnosis with strong science and offer life for those we love. I have witnessed the progress and are proud to be a long time swimmer with SAA. When my twin sister was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma more than 20 years ago, SAA was just getting started. We chose to support Anne's memory and love of the water thru our annual swims and fundraising efforts with Swim Across America. As the years have passed, many more friends, loved ones and acquaintances have joined in our fight. In early 2022, my Father and Team Anne's Captain was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This year, my husband John was diagnosed (also with panreatic cancer). I am blessed to be surrounded by family and friends and as we move forward, supporting Swim Across America is one of the little things I am proud to do.
On August 3rd, we will take to the waters of Lake Michigan to raise funds for Rush Medical Center here in Chicago, and their efforts in early stage research and clinical trials for a variety of cancer types. The waters may be challenging but nothing like the challenge of those fighting for their lives.
If you are able, please support this great organization by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
