Welcome to my fundraising page. I'm back for another year of the SAA Chicago event.

I'm back again for my 28th time swimming in the Chicago event. I'll participate in the 1 mile swim. As with prior years, the swim will be done in Lake Michigan @ Ohio Street Beach.

This year the event will be held on Saturday, August 3rd and once again the beneficiary will be Rush University Cancer Center.

Please, please sponsor me for my swim & help raise money for Cancer research. Please help make enough waves to fight this terrible disease that affects us all in some way.

An estimated 40% of Americans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. Meanwhile, National Cancer Institute funding for investigative research and clinical trials has decreased 25% the past 10 years. This benefit swim is so important because it raises dollars that are invested into early stage cancer research and clinical trials. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
