Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I will be swimming remotely in Lake Michigan as the event occurs on our yearly camping trip to Door County.  My heart will be with all the other swimmers in Chicago.  Hoping that this simple gesture of swimming outside will help raise money to fight Mr. C and give support and possibly hope to all those in need.

I am swimming for my grandparents, my dad, my cousins and my dear friends.
