Dana Macke - Fundraising with Team Life!
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community to change that together.
This will be my fifth year fundraising with Swim Across America, and since my start in 2019, I have added too many to the long list of people I love who have been diagnosed with cancer. In 2022, this included my sister, Kelly Spencer, who died from an aggressive, incurable and inoperable brain tumor.
Swim Across America events have become more meaningful to me in light of this devastating loss. A way to feel supported and hopeful in the face of the massive health challenge that cancer represents.
Please support this urgent cause by making a gift if you can. The researchers we fund at Rush in Chicago are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early-stage funding, they cannot conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives.
Thank you for helping impact the fight to find a cure!
