I have been swimming competitively since I was 6 years old, but I’ve never competed open water before. I am super pumped for my first open water experience to be in Chicago, and to be an opportunity for me to support cancer research  because it has impacted people in my family as well as my friends. I am excited to be team captain of Team Marquez and to reach my personal fundraising goal of $300 and our team’s goal of $800.
