When I was almost 2 my grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. I am 13 now and I barely remember him. I think about all the things we could have done together. I don't want it to happen to anyone else.
Three months ago, my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. We know that she will beat it, but seeing the toll it is taking on her and our family is really hard.
 
I want to help families like mine that have people with cancer and help them recover faster. This is why I am swimming across America.

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
