In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. So many people close to our family have lost a fight with Cancer (Papa (my dad's dad), Suzanne Elliott (my aunt I never got to meet), Colleen Antone (my SIL) Katy Robertson Smith (College roommate), Amy Yenne (mom of Allie's friend), Ed O'Brien, and other close family friends have fought and or are currently in a fight with Cancer.

On Sept 14th, I am joining our WHOLE family (yes ALL 4 of us) and the SAA community so we can fight cancer. For those that don't know, my whole family can swim circles around me...so I  am challenging myself by swimming in the 1-mile Open Water Swim and get out before my family's hair has time to dry!  (LOL)
