In the USA, 1 out of every 2 men, and 1 out of every 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. That's the bad news.  Cancer has certainly affected my family and I'm 100% positive that everyone reading this knows someone who is fighting cancer right now.

The good news is that cancer deaths are down 33% since 1991! That is due to the incredible advances in treatment and detection.

How do these treatments and detection methods become available? 

It starts right here, with you and me. 

The Dallas chapter of SAA sends the money we raise to the Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Baylor Medical Center to fund Phase 1 clinical trials.  They are doing truly amazing stuff, including working on a simple blood test for early cancer detection!
