I am later than normal with this information however, the need and support are the same. 

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. Every year, since I first started participating in this swim, someone in my circle has been diagnosed with the f'ing disease. I continue to be a part of the Swim Across America community not only because of my love for swimming but I want to be an active member in kicking cancer's ass!! God has blessed me with the gift of swimming, and I swim for all those in my life that have survived the disease or are currently fighting.  

The swim will start at 7:30/8 am at Chatfield State Park on Sunday, Aug 17th. As in previous years, I will be completing the 2-mile distance swim.
