Welcome to My Personal Page
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that. This year I am going to swim 2 miles in memory of the bravest kid I've ever known, my best friend Kellen. Kellen courageously fought neuroblastoma for 5 years before he passed away at the age of 6. I had just completed swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School and one of the things Kellen really wanted to do was to take swim lessons there with me and his sister, but his cancer treatments made it impossible. I started swimming competitively for the Livonia Community Swim Club in 2019. I swim because Kellen never got a chance. Swim Across America brings together my love for swim and my desire to help families and children with cancer. This is my third year swimming in the Motor City Mile and I'm excited to share this experience with my brother and friends this year.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are in our community and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Kellen was part of so many clinical trials on the journey for his cure. Let's keep fighting so no one else has to lose their best friend, brother or son again. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
