Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

Cancer has touched my life in many ways. It took three of my four grandparents and several friends too soon and currently affects many people in my life. My research career focused on cancer biology - with the goal of better understanding what drives certain cancers, and new ways to target this devastating disease. In my current role, I facilitate partnerships between Rogel Cancer Center faculty and Industry partners working together to research and test new treatments. 

I am so excited to participate in this incredible event which benefits the Rogel Cancer Center and supports research aimed at improving outcomes for patients.
