This past July of 2023 I lost my Grandmother, Mimi, to a very progressively growing brain tumor. She was the light of my life, always supporting me immensely. Between coming to almost all of my swim meets in my high school and college career, providing me comfort and motivation throughout nursing school, she has always been my #1 supporter. On July 12th, 2024 I will be swimming 1 mile in the Detroit River, starting at Belle Isle in hopes to raise money for such an amazing foundation.

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.
