Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

This is my first year joining my sister Evie at Swim Across America. I swim for my buddy Kellen, who passed away when he was 6 (I was 5) after a long battle with neuroblastoma. He was in and out of the hospital getting his medicines. But I just knew that my friend missed a lot of play dates and that made me sad. And our play dates have never been the same since. I want to help families and kids with cancer so no one else has to know how awful this disease is.
