Swim for Kim.

Swim across America is a national organization in existence for 35 years, the open water swims are held to raise money to fight against cancer by donating money raised directly to cancer research.
April 20th, S.A.A will hold the 3rd annual open water swim in Islamorada Florida at Founders park.   After hearing about the swim, I knew why I wanted to swim the 2 mile open water course.
I am swimming for my friend Kim Myers.  Kim’s courageous cancer battle began with ovarian cancer in 2008, she endured surgery and treatments. A year later, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Kim has fought cancer over the years and continues to endure complications. Sadly, in October 2023, Kim would face another battle, now with lung cancer. Kim has fought this battle too long, so I swim for Kim.
Survival of cancer is directly influenced by research and the development of better treatments. I chose to register and swim the 2 mile course in order to help make a difference in this fight against this horrible disease.   If you have been impacted by C in some way, please support Team Yates with a donation.
