My father loved the water and all that came with it. He was an avid fisherman and ensured we were all "waterproofed" at a young age. We grew up splashing and laughing in the water with him, including us playing mermaids and him never tiring of giving us underwater porpoise rides on his back. Sadly his life was cut short in 2020 by brain cancer. I realized then and now, the only weapon against this devastating disease is the pursuit of knowledge - enough knowledge to find and implement a cure.  Towards this goal of raising funds that may lead to treatments, therapies and a cure, this year I am doing the Swim Across America challenge in honor of my dad, Dr. Michael Goldstein.
