My name is Ellison Charette and I am swimming the mile and a half for Swim Across America on June 29th. This will be my fifth open water swim, and my third time doing Swim Across America. I am swimming this race with Team Julian. This year I have also been a member of the junior advisory board

I got involved with SAA through Team Julian. Julian Fraser was a swimmer and waterpolo player from my club, Rocky Point. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2017 from cancer. He was only 20 years old. Team Julian came together to support Swim Across America which supports the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy. The money from Swim Across America funds dedicated cancer researchers and scientists around the country.
