Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I have been involved with Swim Across America off and on, since the 80's when we used to swim from Nantucket to Cape Cod then later in Boston Harbor. I am so proud to now swim the Fairfield County swim with 2 of our children, Finn and KC. I swim to show support to those I know who are currently battling cancer, specifically our cousin Liz, for those who have survived cancer, my neice, Abby and dear friends Deidre and Barbara and for the memory of those we have lost, Karen and Robert to name a few....
