Northern Dutchess Aquatic Club (NDAC) was founded in 1994 by Head Coach Emeritus, Kevin Storrs (known by all who swam for him simply as Coach). Kevin had a deep passion for not only the sport of swimming but a deep love for the development and growth of young people. As a full-time history teacher as well as a swim coach, he was able to pursue this passion in all avenues of his life. Kevin was full of life and full of love with a sense of humor that was truly appreciated by those who were closest to him. His no-nonsense attitude and honesty pushed those around them to be authentic and compassionate. In April 2023, Kevin lost his long and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. A loss that rocked the swimming community that he left behind to its core. As the 30th anniversary of Kevin's lifelong passion, NDAC, comes around this year. We here at Northern Dutchess wish to honor his powerful legacy by participating in Swim Across America. We ask all those willing and able to participate in the swim itself. However, those who do not feel comfortable swimming in open water are encouraged to donate through our team page or register as a volunteer. From the bottom of our hearts here at Northern Dutchess, thank you for visiting our page and helping us fight back against the disease that cut short the life of one of the most influential men in the Hudson Valley Swimming Community.
