Recently I found out about the charity Swim Across America, that hosts charity swimming events with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies.

Within my family, my grandpa fought Prostate Cancer a number of years ago. I have also had a number of people in my family fight this disease too. Recently my High School coach's mother was diagnosed with a form of Pre-Leukemia. Just like my family, friends, and coaches who have always supported my swimming dreams, I through what a better way to honor and support their fight of cancer.  

I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal.
