Hello Family and Friends,

     As many of you are aware, my son Ryan is VP of Marketing for the national non-profit Swim Across America. To support their fundraising efforts for cancer research, SAA coordinates 21 open water swims across the country and raised nearly $10 million in 2019 for life-saving clinical trials and research.

     I'm joining the Charleston-Kiawah team in the SAA Coast to Coast Challenge as we virtually traverse many cities in the United States.  I'm challenging myself to log the 100 activity miles (walking, riding and swimming) and help Team Baucom raise $10,000 by August 15th.  

     This year, I'll be participating in honor of our friends and family members who have passed away from a variety of forms of cancer, including pancreatic, lung, & breast cancers. We are pleased to report that since its inception in 2017, Swim Across America on Kiawah Island has raised over $200,000. The funds raised go to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center for clinical trials and cancer research. For the last three years combined, Team Baucom, with the help of your generous support, contributed over $20,000 toward that total! 

     The whole family will be participating as Team Baucom this summer on June 10th.
