Hello Family and Friends,

       As many of you are aware, my son Ryan is VP of Marketing for the national non-profit Swim Across America. To support their fundraising efforts for cancer research, SAA coordinates 24 open water swims across the country and has granted over $100 million for clinical trials and research at major research hospitals across the United States. SAA has been prominent in initially funding four FDA-approved immunotherapy drugs that are saving lives globally.  (SAA is certified by the BBB Giving Wise Alliance and Guidestar Platinum recognized for commitment to accountability).

      I am pleased to announce that I again plan to raise funds and support the eighth annual Charleston-Kiawah swim on Saturday, June 8, 2024. I am excited to join my son as a volunteer coordinator in the swim this year.

     Ryan and I will be supporting Team Baucom in the upcoming June event and Louise will be a volunteer leader. Many of you have played a major role in helping Team Baucom  raise over $45,000 in the past seven years. Last year the Kiawah Swim raised over $100,000! This makes a tangible impact in the fight against cancer at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina and the lab of Dr. Leo Ferreira, who will be swimming with us on June 8th.
