I am swimming for Swim Across America to raise money for cancer research. My family has personally been touched by cancer, and I want to do my part to fight for a cure. My Bisabuelita (great grandma) Angelina was a stage four colon cancer survivor, and my Tia (aunt) Miriam is a stage three breast cancer survivor. These two women fought a great fight and beat the beast. But there are many who don't. I want to take my love for swimming and put it to help others.
